About Rustic Inn Crabhouse

If the walls of the Rustic Inn could talk, you would hear a different story every day for the rest of your life. From the time of its birth in 1955 to the present, our fame brings world travelers to our door and keeps the locals coming back. The history of this family-owned landmark goes back over 50 years to the early days of sightseeing boats and Seminole Indians wreslin' gators, and even a beer drinking pig! Back then, patron included Arthur Godgrey, Frances Langford, Ginny Simms and Ralph Evinrude. Now, famous faces such as Armand Assante, Jimmy Buffet, Johnny Depp, Dan Marino and a few others occasionally pop in to indulge. If you look closely, you may be able to sport a celebrity in the midst. The original Rustic Inn Crabhouse began as a roadhouse saloon. As time went by our hole-in-the-wall grew up, keeping with the demand for steamed crabs, linguini with homemade sauces and other popular dishes. Then one night, a customer tested a crab cooked in the owner's secret family

Best crabs in the area!

Posted by signmaster9 on 9/10/2009

This crabhouse really delivers on great food, no frills, and a relaxed environment. The golden crabs (that I never knew existed) are a special treat! Be sure to order them dry - it's less messy and the sweetness of the crab really shines,

This place has a dock and thats just the place to eat. When you arrive or even when setting a reservation ask to sit on the dock and while eatting you get to see the fish come by to eat. My girlfriend and i love this place and eat their about 3 times a month and not just on the weekends. This is a anytime place to eat even for take-out and fun for the whole family if there is one place in Broward to eat it's here. hope to see you their we will be on the dock

Best Local Seafood Restaurant

Posted by TommyandMeredith on 8/15/2008

My wife and I have been vacationing to the Fort Lauderdale / Miami area for the past 15 years. We stumbled upon this restaurant through the internet.....thankfully!!! We love it because it is a local favorite and not a "chain restaurant". The seafood was very fresh. We highly recommend the crab sampler. Generous portions and excellent quality. You gotta put in some work crackin' all those crabs. We left full and felt that the price was great. We recommend this place highly. It has a real relaxed and casual atmosphere too. I wouldn't dress too fancy if you plan on crackin' crabs. They have great lunch specials and the service was nice. We will always return to this place while vacationing here. It is definitely added to our list of favorites.

I love the Rustic Inn, the crab is fresh and fabulous, a litle on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.
