Featuring over 200 different exhibits exploring all sorts of scientific principles and natural events, the Museum of Discovery and Science Fort Lauderdale gives families and children the chance to learn through entertaining hands-on activities. Exhibits include "Gizmo City," offering a peek into how various gadets work, and "Florida Ecoscapes," a recreated coral reef populated with life alligators, bats, frogs and turtles. The complex also has a five-story-high IMAX theater, which shows thrilling, informative videos. It sits opposite the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in downtown, just west of the Las Olas Riverfront.
